Sustainability

THE DPC

Commitment

Sustainability and corporate responsibility are important values for DPC. By prioritizing these issues, we hope to do our part to help create a better future for both people and the planet. Sustainability can take many forms, such as reducing waste, conserving energy and resources, and supporting environmentally friendly initiatives. Corporate responsibility involves treating employees, customers, and communities with fairness, respect, and transparency. By combining these two values, DPC can make a positive impact on the world and be good stewards of the environment for future generations. In practice, that includes:

  • Reusing and repurposing paper including – reusing wastepaper for wrapping, packaging, composting, cleaning, lining, etc.
  • Responsibly sourcing materials and assuring sustainable manufacturing processes.

FUN FACTS

  • Paper recovered for recycling in the U.S. in 2020 would fill nearly 4,000 Washington Monuments. And, every year since 2009, the recycling rate has met or exceeded 63%.
  • Wood fibers can be used up to 6-7 times in paper. After that, they can be used to produce bioenergy.
